Well....I was on vacation this past month so I didn't get a chance to add
too much to my site. Also, I'm working on some new ebooks (FrontPage,
Windows XP, etc.), which I hope you will like, and that's been keeping me
plenty busy. I did add some new links to my tutorials pages which
should be helpful and I'm working on an article on Word formatting for Jack
Teems' Neat Net
Tricks premium edition which I'm hoping will help people with the
frustrations they have with Word and how it wants to make too many decisions
for you. So, I haven't forgotten you all and I promise to get this
stuff done soon! In the meantime, why don't you drop me a line and let me
know what it is you would like to see added to my site? Now, I'm not
asking you to send me letters telling me your problems. I know we all
have them - that's why I list a bunch of email groups on
my support page where you can get
these problems solved for free. What I'm asking you for is suggestions for
tutorials or tips that you would like to see added to my page. If you
have any ideas for me, please send them along and I will certainly consider
them.
Hope you have all had a wonderful summer! (or whatever season it is
in your part of the world) Please stop by my site
and browse around and tell me what I'm missing. And, if any of you
would like to write an article for ABC, don't be shy. Send me
them ideas!

Subscribers' Exclusive Tip
Adding Items to My PlacesYou know how the Office 2000 and XP programs
all have those icons on the left of the Save As and Open boxes where you can
click on My Documents or Desktop to go to that folder? This is called the
Places Bar and Microsoft has a free add-in that you can
download here if you want to be able to customize the contents of that
bar in Office 2000. However, if you have Office XP, you can do it
without an add-in. Simply click on the folder you want to add, then
click on the Tools button at the top of the Window and choose "Add to 'My
Places' "

It now appears in the list on the left and you can right click on any
icon in the bar and choose to move it up or down to arrange them in the
order you like. Also, with a simple right click, you can rename or
remove any of the ones you add. I find this helpful and hope you do
too. <<<back to contents
