Sell Your Knowledge with eBooks
~ by Deborah Miller, EBook Marketing 4U
eBooks are taking the web by storm....
There is money to be made by selling your knowledge.
What have YOU
learned, or what mistakes have you made? How did you get to the bottom of
your skills. What would you have paid to avoid them or to know what you know
NOW? What did you gain knowledge of? Promote your knowledge properly, and
others will pay to learn from your experience
Hobbies most of us have them. Others want to learn them. Since you already
have a hobby, skill or you might have learned secrets or gained skills that
you can pass on to others. So why not make money from the information you
have to share? You have done the research and tested all the ins and outs of
your hobby or business. So, now gain some PROFIT from your skills and
knowledge in an eBook.
From the babysitter to high tech business men and women, you ALL have
something to share in skills and knowledge you have learned. So repeat the
words after me..............There's an e-book in everyone
Do not worry if you are not a writer, just put it in your OWN words.
Give an introduction: what the topic is about. Create a table of contents on
the different areas you are going to write about.
What can be put in an eBook? Just about anything from A to Z. Do you
cook? Sew? Paint? Travel? Garden? Have old family recipes? Repair computers
or cars? Groom dogs? Breed dogs or cats? Build houses?....this is just a
SMALL list, but you get the idea.
What you need to start:
Sit down with a notebook and write down all the things you know on the
subject you want to create an eBook for. Put it in simple terms like you are
teaching someone in person. For example say you do Wood Working:
Write down what you need to create a project,
1.the tools
2.the materials
3.steps in cutting and measuring
4.steps in putting the pieces together
5.examples of what it will look like
6.a camera for taking pictures.
Write down everything from start to finish as if you were going to make
this project.
You will also need a web site and domain name
A text processing program like MS Word, Notepad, or any HTML Editor, like
FrontPage 2000 or 2002
Why an HTML editor? Because most E-books are compiled from HTML pages.
You will need a shopping cart so that people can purchase your product
online.
You will also need an eBook compiler and a graphic program to create your
miniature eBook cover. By creating a cover it inspires people to want to
read your information.
You will need a shopping cart so that people can purchase your product

If all this sounds good, but you do not want to invest in all the
different programs or learn them, then have your information compiled
professionally at

Most home computers have MS Word on them. Write your information, add
your pictures and save it to disk.
You can also download FREE HTML programs to help you compile your
information. Below are links to free html editors.

if you do not know html there are online classes you can take at a school
like
http://www.eclecticacademy.com/index.htm
or you can use NotePad to write your different chapters and put in little
"Notes" as to where a pictures would go.
Then contact a company to put your compiled information into an eBook and on
the internet.
Here at eBook Marketing, we can compile your eBook, design a cover, design a
3 page web site and host it for you. All for a low reasonable price.
After your eBook site is done, you then need to start promoting it. Put your
url address to your eBook site on business cards, flyers, tell friends, and
join forums to let others know about your new eBook.
A forum is all a good place to ask questions and learn. Join eBook Talk
Forum for information and to ask questions:
http://www.ebooktalk.net
Join email lists that are related to your ebook subject.
Do you have friends or business associates that have a web site? Ask if they
will display a link or banner to your eBook site.
Just remember there is an EBOOK IN EVERYONE.
