When using FrontPage's autothumbnail tool on an image, the full size
version opens and is on the left side of my browser with a white background.
Is it possible to center the image and change the background color?
Yes, though it does not have a white background; that's just the default
colour you're seeing. One can configure one's browser to show any colour,
which could be bright green for instance. The only way to have seen what you
want to be seen is to configure the background of the page, which you can't
do with a graphic file; you need to make a page and link the smaller
thumbnail to the page. Of course with the page .htm file you can configure
the background, position the graphic and add text the same as any other .htm
file.
Make the page, right click on the thumbnail, click the appearance tab and
enter the path to the page or browse to it. Don't forget to add the alt tag
while you're there under "text". This lets blind viewers navigate the
page more easily. Just put a short description of the graphic.
Question submitted by Rex:
When using WinZip to make Archives the screen froze for a while. After
this all my *.eml files have an envelope icon and wont open in Outlook
Express. I am using Windows 98 and Outlook Express 5.5. First I tried
resetting the association using shift +right click and open with and
navigating to misnn . But when I try to click on an *.eml file it just opens
Outlook Express Inbox. I restored the previous days Registry. Still
the same. I restored the registry from a week ago. Still nothing.
Could you please help.
Copy and paste this command into the Run box and then click OK.
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg
That will reset the proper association for your emails without having to
edit the registry or File types.
Go to the File Types listing
Go to Outlook Express Mail
Select EML file type
Click Edit or Advanced
Select 'open' and click Edit.
Application used to perform this action should be:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /eml:%1
with the double quotes and the space before /eml
