Word Table Rows That Jump to the Next Page for No Obvious Reason
~~ by Renée Atkinson, Training Specialist
If you have created a table in Word that jumps
to the next page when you definitely have enough space on the preceding page
to handle the row/text, then try this. Select the row on the preceding page
(move your mouse on the far left side of the page (called the selection bar)
until it turns into a right pointed arrow. Then left click as you point to
the row. Once the row is selected go to Format>Styles and choose the Normal
style in the left box.
And then click on Apply. (For you power users: you can use the Styles
pull-down box on your formatting toolbar and choose Normal). This usually
fixes the problem! (unless you have adjusted your Normal style paragraph
spacing from the default.)Renée Atkinson is a training specialist for
a hospital, training over 1500 people on Microsoft
Office and enterprise software. Renée's philosophy for this job is
"Staying in touch so you don't have too..."
