Displaying the Current Time in Web Page Title Bars Viewed with
Internet Explorer
~~Vic
Ferri, WinTips and Tricks
If you are using Internet Explorer, you will
see the current time displayed in the title bar at the top of this page.
To do this in your own web pages, simply copy and paste this code between the <head> and </head> tags in your
code and save.
Then, refresh your page and you should now see the current date and time
ticking away on your title bar, as you can see in this demo.
NOTE FROM
LINDA: For some reason this was not working on my system at first.
Whenever I viewed this page it said 12:06 EDT, no matter what time it was.
I tried it for two days before I finally wrote to Vic and told him there was
a problem. He wrote back that he tested it on different computers and
different operating systems and it always worked for him. So, I
tried viewing this page again and guess what? It's working now. LOL
Go figure, eh? Computers will always remain a mystery to me!
So, if it doesn't work for you, I can only tell you to wait a couple days
and maybe it will. ROFL <<<back to contents
