ABC ~ All
'Bout Computers
The Online Web-azine for Computer
Enthusiasts
-- brought to you by

contents page for this issue
What's New at Linda's
Computer Stop
First of all, I hope you enjoy this
special issue. Most of the Fleet members are really busy right now
(and so am I), so I want to thank them publicly for helping me put this
together. However, because all of us are so busy (end of year
deadlines and holiday preparations, I guess) and some of us are
experiencing writer's block and borderline burnout (well, I am, anyway),
I regret to say ABC is going on hiatus for a couple months. Mostly
cuz we need time to come up with new, valuable material. Because
the Fleet is so good at what they do, most of what ABC needs to cover
has been covered already (and then some). So, let me take this
time now to wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday season and let you
know the next issue of ABC will not be published until February, 2005
In the meantime, how bout some of you
people contributing some articles? I always love to get articles
written by readers telling of their own computer experiences, sharing
tips with us, and even their own tutorials on how to do all kinds of
stuff on their computers. PLEASE contact me anytime via my
contact form and let me know if you have something you want to
contribute. OR, let me know what you want to read more about so I
can give the Fleet some ideas. I will be collecting ideas and
scouting for more writers over the next two months, so hopefully the
February issue will be jam-packed with good stuff
However, we will continue the
Ask The Fleet service during this time, so feel free to continue to
submit questions there.
I hope you all understand and will be
patient with us while we take a little, long-needed break :-)
Speaking of breaks....
You all know how much I love gaming
and the sims-type games are my favorite. So, I'm building a little
Sims2 subsite at my website where I will share tutorials, tips, hacks,
and downloads with any of you who are Sims2 fans. The site is
small now, but there's some good stuff there and I will be adding lots
more soon, so come back and visit it often to see what I've added.
For some reason, burnout writing Excel tutorials doesn't seem to affect
writing gaming tutorials LOL
See Linda's Sims 2torials here
And, though I won't be writing ABC
articles for a couple months, I will still be adding tutorials to my
website and contributing articles to TechTrax and other online ezines.
As a matter of fact, I just wrote a tutorial for TechTrax on
Excel's VLOOKUP function which you might find helpful. And
you can always check my
Articles Page to see any articles I've written for other sites.
Oh ... and don't forget to check my site after
Thanksgiving cuz I will be posting my usual Holiday graphics page for
those of you looking for good holiday pics for your sites, emails,
cards, and newsletters.
Thanks again for being such a wonderful audience and
we'll see you in February. Enjoy this issue and have a Happy
Holiday Season!!
