SpeedUpMyPC 3

Once again, Uniblue has impressed me with their software.  SpeedUpMyPC 3 is a collection of utilities that you usually find in separate programs, all conveniently located in one application.

Once installed, SpeedUpMyPC places a small graph icon in your System Tray that shows your computer's performance if you hover your mouse over it:

Double-clicking on the icon brings up the program, which has four tabs. The first tab is the Overview tab, which shows a more detailed description of what you see in the picture above and allows you to fully scan your computer to find out what may be slowing it down or causing it to give errors.

Once the scan is complete, you can move to the Optimization tab which shows separate graphs for each of the categories shown in the picture above and also shows you all of the programs that are running on your computer at startup and allows you to remove any that are unnecessary.

The third tab is the Clean Up tab, which lets you delete temporary, backup, and other junk files that are not needed.  It also has a File Shredder which will permanently delete any file you choose.  And, it has a Privacy scan which lets you find and remove all kinds of info on your computer that you might consider private and not want anyone else using your computer to see (stuff like the most recently used documents, your internet history, etc.).  And, also on this tab, there's a section which allows you to completely uninstall any program on your computer -- and this works much better than the Windows Add/Remove programs which often leaves parts of the programs behind when uninstalling.

The fourth tab is the Settings tab where you control which features you want to use and which drives on your computer you want scanned.

All in all, I think this is one of the most complete clean-up programs I have come across and I highly recommend it.  To see what it can do, click this link and let it scan your computer right now to see what it finds.  I'm pretty sure you will be as impressed as I am!
